Job Description — Control Panel Assembler (Electrical)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Control Panel Assembler to support the assembly and fabrication of electrical control panels. This role involves using hand and power tools to assemble components, fabricate panel cutouts, and follow assembly drawings while maintaining quality and safety standards. This is electrical control panel assembly (panel shop work), not electronic circuit board/PCB assembly. Training may be provided for candidates who meet basic work-readiness requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Use hand tools and power tools (e.g., wrenches, small power tools, drills, Sawzall).
• Assemble components on electrical control panels using various hand tools and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Perform basic fabrication, including:
  • Drilling with power hand drills
  • Creating cutouts using a handheld Sawzall
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and follow work instructions.
• Ensure HTC assembly standards and processes are followed at all times.
• Perform self-checks and verify completed work meets company quality standards.
• Practice safe work habits and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Required Qualifications / Minimum Work Standards

• Comfortable using (or willing to learn to use) hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated reliability and stability in work history (where applicable).
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a panel shop or electrical control panel assembly environment.
• Experience reading assembly drawings/prints.
• Mechanical assembly or fabrication experience (drilling, cutouts, measuring, tool use).
