Machine Operator – Prosthetics Plastics Molder
Pay: $23.00 per hour (potential increase after training)
Location: Westminster, CA 92683
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (some flexibility and occasional overtime required)
Duration: Contract to Hire
Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and eager to develop new skills in a hands-on, specialized environment? Masis Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading prosthetics fabrication facility. No prior experience in prosthetics or medical devices is required — just a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
As part of a dedicated team, you will be molding plastic components such as check sockets and ankle/foot orthoses using basic tools and heat-forming techniques. This is a unique opportunity to gain in-demand skills in a growing and impactful industry.
Responsibilities
Mold heated plastic over plaster casts to create prosthetic and orthotic components
Use hand tools, including cordless drills and oscillating saws, for shaping and drilling
Work with plastic heated to 360–375 degrees Fahrenheit using appropriate safety gear (gloves, protective sleeves)
Operate vacuum forming equipment and follow detailed work instructions
Prepare and handle plaster molds
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace (light custodial duties at end of shift)
Receive full on-the-job training — skills developed are transferable and highly sought after nationwide
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of manufacturing or tool-handling experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work
Ability to read and follow written work instructions in English
Dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks
Willing to work overtime as needed
Reliable transportation to/from Westminster, CA
Must pass a comprehensive drug screen and background check
Comfortable working in warm environments and wearing protective gear
