Our client in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Machinist III to join their team and support their day-to-day machining and production needs. This role involves setting up and operating CNC/machining equipment, ensuring parts meet specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities of the Machinist III
Set up and operate machining equipment, with a preference for CNC experience.
Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions.
Produce parts to specification while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
Measure and inspect parts using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Make offsets and tool changes to maintain tolerances.
Identify defects or process issues and escalate with clear details.
Troubleshoot basic machining and quality issues, supporting corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation as required.
Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
Support process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
Requirements of the Machinist III
Prior machining experience in a manufacturing environment, with CNC experience being a plus.
Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
Ability to communicate clearly in English.
Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site in Andover, MA.
Compensation/Benefits for the Machinist III
Pay: $32.00 – $37.00/hr (based on experience)
