Maintenance Lead | Full-Time | First Shift (M–F 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)

  • $40–$46 per hour + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

A growing Pharmaceutical/Chemical manufacturing plant is seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead to support daily plant operations, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement activities. This is a hands-on role ideal for a seasoned maintenance professional with strong mechanical expertise and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, piping, welding, and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs and complete documentation
  • Maintain spare parts inventory to ensure reliable plant operations
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and production staff
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, capital projects, and process improvements
  • Lead and coordinate outside contractors for safe and timely project execution
  • Participate in root cause investigations and recommend practical solutions
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant maintenance shop (5S)
  • Follow all OSHA, GMP, and safety/quality procedures
  • Operate forklifts, man-lifts, and tools as required. Crane experience preferred.
  • Support occasional weekend or emergency overtime

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen is mandatory
  • 7–10+ years of plant maintenance experience (chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial)
  • Strong mechanical repair and preventive/predictive maintenance background
  • Experience with pumps, piping systems, rotating equipment, condensers, reactors, and related systems
  • Experience in GMP-regulated environments preferred
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and safety documentation
  • Skilled with precision measuring tools (dial indicators, micrometers, calipers)
  • Strong communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to respond to maintenance emergencies.
