We are seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics for a Food Manufacturing Client in Norwood.
These are 3rd shift, Direct Hire opportunities.
Schedule:
3rd Shift: 10pm-6:30am (Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday)
The Maintenance Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform equipment PMs, troubleshoot and repair of electro-mechanical equipment such as electronic controls, conveyor systems, production machines and support equipment while teaching/explaining how to troubleshoot equipment and read schematics. As a key member of the Maintenance Department, the Maintenance Mechanic will have the opportunity to take on the roles and responsibilities of an industrial Maintenance Supervisor while contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
· Identify broken or worn components in machines.
· Perform stick, MIG and TIG welding.
· Utilize a lathe, Bridgeport, or drill press to complete certain tasks.
· Adhere to all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
· Collaborate with and direct level 1&2 mechanics to accomplish shift objectives and projects as directed.
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
· Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
· Regularly required to talk and hear
· Must have good vision and manual dexterity
· Exposure to approx. 85 decibel sound while on plant floor (appropriate ear protection will be provided)
· Required availability to work weekends and overtime as necessary to complete projects and installs.
· Company provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor
