Position Title: Maintenance Lead Technician
Location: Columbus, OH
Reports To: Operations/Engineering Management

Days/Hours: Friday: Sunday 7:30am to 7:30pm

We are seeking a self-directed, hands-on Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee facility and equipment maintenance across a growing, high-performing operation. This role goes beyond troubleshooting — it’s about building systems, training technicians, and helping us drive equipment performance to new heights. What You’ll Do:

Lead the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment to achieve >85% OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for mechanical and electrical systems
Train, mentor, and guide a skilled maintenance team to foster a safe, efficient, and motivated work environment
Implement and oversee a standardized training program for new technicians
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance (PMs) on machinery, facility infrastructure, and support systems
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage
Keep abreast of emerging technology and tools to continuously improve processes
Uphold all applicable safety regulations and environmental standards (federal, state, and local)
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility maintenance area
Coordinate with other departments to ensure minimal downtime and strong cross-functional support

What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical systems (or 3 years of technical training)
Strong ability to troubleshoot production machines, diagnose failures, and implement effective solutions
Advanced knowledge of PLC programming in one or more platforms (e.g., Siemens S5/S7, ABB, Bosch)
Skilled in the use of key tools and machines such as lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, CNC
Understanding of control wiring, logic diagrams, and power distribution
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to training and developing team members
Excellent verbal and written communication; proactive follow-through and documentation
Willingness and availability to work overtime and weekends, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
