Job Summary
The Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support manufacturing operations in a safe, professional, and team-oriented environment. This position performs a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, with responsibilities varying based on equipment and operational needs.
Applicants are required to pass a maintenance entrance examination. Final placement as a Technician or Mechanic will be determined based on education, skills, and prior experience.
Shift Information
• 2nd Shift: Approximately 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 3rd Shift: Approximately 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain, repair, and support assembly line and fabrication equipment to ensure consistent operation
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems using schematics, prints, and PLCs
• Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
• Accurately document maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs within the CMMS system
• Apply root cause analysis techniques, including 5-Why methodology, to identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions
• Complete all work in compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Identify required parts, research availability, and place orders as needed
• Communicate effectively across multiple channels including phone, email, instant messaging, and in-person interactions
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and related support equipment
• Train and support team members on maintenance procedures and best practices
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check following a conditional offer. All testing will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per shift
• Capability to perform repetitive and varied physical movements including lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, climbing, twisting, and fine motor tasks
• Ability to work with materials such as fiberglass, plastics, adhesives, and insulation
• Ability to read, write, and accurately document maintenance activities, materials, and parts
• Willingness and flexibility to work varying schedules to support operational needs
• Strong reliability and adherence to attendance expectations
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency with common hand tools and powered equipment used in maintenance work
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment
• Willingness to complete required technical and safety training programs
• Basic computer proficiency and strong numerical skills
• Experience working with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and use PLCs for troubleshooting
• Ability to safely operate material handling and access equipment such as forklifts and man lifts
• Knowledge of Hazard Communication standards and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Proficiency in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Preferred
• Experience performing root cause analysis using 5-Why or similar methodologies
