Masis Staffing is seeking Manufacturing Assemblers to assist with the assembly and production of fiber optic products. This position requires attention to detail, basic measuring skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
Job Responsibilities
Follow work orders and blueprints to gather materials and complete assigned tasks.
Perform basic data entry as needed.
Assemble fiber optic products according to instructions.
Measure fiber optic materials to ensure proper size and fit.
Use epoxy resin to attach fibers to fittings and connectors.
Move materials between production, grinding, polishing, packing, and shipping areas.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Follow all workplace safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to measure using rulers and measuring tapes.
Ability to use basic tools such as razor blades, calipers, heat guns, and soldering irons.
Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands and arms for assembling and handling materials.
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and twist as needed.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Good close-up vision for working with small materials.
Work Environment & Safety
Manufacturing environment involving small glass or plastic fiber optic materials.
Exposure to sharp materials and tools that may cause cuts or scratches.
Use of epoxy resin and alcohol, which may cause skin irritation.
Exposure to bright lighting and occasional computer work.
Employees must follow all safety guidelines when handling tools and materials.
