MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR
Masis Professional Group is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for a local manufacturing company in Miami, Florida.
Position Description
This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and has the authority and responsibility for the overall management, direction and coordination of production activities. The ideal candidate will thrive on working with a team in a schedule driven, fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing floor. Coordinate, plan, and supervise activities.
Ensure the efficient production of products with emphasis on good quality.
Ensure quality of work performed through routine quality checks.
Responsible for managing assigned personnel, and issues written and oral instructions.
Monitors departmental and individual performance and provides appropriate feedback, encouragement, and discipline when necessary.
Provide coaching and leadership to new and existing manufacturing associates.
Ensure all assigned personnel observe and understand all company policies and procedures. Including established systems compliance, safety practices and procedures
Perform production associate activities/work as needed.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree from two-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Highly organized with good time management skills
Able to speak, read and write English and/or Spanish (a must).
Computer literacy including the ability to learn new software quickly.
ISO and GMP experience are highly desired.
Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired
