Job Description — Material Handler

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (W2)
Pay: $16.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, OT Saturdays as needed
Openings: 3

Position Summary

IDW is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves moving and staging product/equipment for shipping and receiving, preparing items for outbound shipment (including shrink wrap), and maintaining an organized work area in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Move, stage, and organize materials and products for shipping and receiving
Prepare outbound shipments (e.g., shrink wrapping, staging, securing product)
Safely handle and transport heavy equipment/products (team lift required when items exceed 50 lbs)
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while completing warehouse tasks
Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or issues promptly
Keep work areas clean and organized to support efficient operations

Qualifications / Requirements

Ability to work a physical, hands-on warehouse role
Comfortable lifting/moving heavy items (team lift when appropriate)
Strong attention to detail and dependability (on-time, consistent attendance)
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a production/warehouse environment
Willingness to complete background check and drug screen prior to starting

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Prior warehouse experience (material handling, shipping/receiving, staging)
Experience with shrink wrap and prepping shipments

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Warehouse setting; standing/walking for extended periods
Frequent lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving products/equipment
Fast-paced environment with productivity and safety expectations
