Masis Staffing is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel MIG Pipe Welder to join a fabrication team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience welding stainless steel pipe using the GMAW (MIG) process and be capable of producing high-quality welds that meet industry standards. This role requires precision, blueprint reading skills, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
Job Summary
The Stainless Steel MIG Pipe Welder is responsible for performing production and precision welding on stainless steel pipe in a fabrication shop environment. This includes material preparation, welding in multiple positions, and ensuring all finished work meets quality and inspection standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on stainless steel pipe in multiple positions (2G, 5G, and 6G as required).
Prepare pipe and fittings for welding, including fit-up, beveling, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass visual inspections and testing requirements.
Maintain proper shielding gas coverage and contamination control during welding.
Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, and shop tools safely.
Follow all safety procedures and fabrication shop protocols.
Collaborate with fitters, foremen, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
