MIG Welder – Easley, SC
The MIG Welder will measure, cut, prepare, and weld metal components using MIG welding processes while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production standards. Key Responsibilities
Metal fabrication — Measure, cut, and join metals per specifications
Weld preparation — Prep materials and surfaces for clean, safe welds
Weld inspection — Check weld strength during and after completion
Shop upkeep — Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Safety compliance — Follow all safety procedures and communicate clearly
General duties — Perform additional tasks as assigned
Skills & Requirements
Knowledge of welding safety
MIG welding experience preferred
Basic math skills
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
Reliable, punctual, and detail?oriented
Willingness to learn and meet production goals
Working Conditions
Exposure to typical metal shop noise
PPE required
May work in non?temperature?controlled areas
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift
Adequate vision for close and distance work
Positive attitude and strong team mindset
Compensation
$22 per hour
Once they become full time, they transition to getting paid piece work. On piece work, they can average $25 – $30/hr depending on their production.
