Pay: $20.00 to $25.00/hour, depending on experience

We are hiring a Plate Maker for a pre-press department in Warwick, RI. This is an office-based role that supports the printing process by preparing layouts and plates for production.

The right person will be comfortable working with artwork, layouts, and computer-based pre-press systems. This role is a good fit for someone with pre-press, platemaking, or print production support experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review work orders and prepare layouts based on job specifications.
• Create, update, and organize files for platemaking and production.
• Apply layout details such as masking, color bars, guides, and plate information.
• Launch files to platemaking equipment and support plate output.
• Check proofs and layouts for accuracy before production.
• Make minor corrections or updates as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous pre-press, platemaking, or print production support experience is preferred.
• Comfortable working with computer-based layouts and digital files.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to review proofs and job instructions carefully for accuracy.
• Prior experience in printing, packaging, or a related production environment is helpful.
