Job Description:

Masis Staffing is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill the Injection Mold Operator position. The position will be responsible for operating injection molding machines, performing quality control checks, and maintaining safety and productivity goals. The individual will also be responsible for the safe operation of the machines, as well as maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate injection molding machines to create products according to specifications
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain product inventory in the production area
  • Work closely with production team to ensure that products are produced in a timely manner and meet quality standards
  • Assist in the development of production schedules, tools, and processes to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Operate injection molding machines including inspection, assembly, and properly packaging. Communicate with lead technician regarding requires tasks Identifying, reporting and alerting technicians/supervisor to quality issues Weighing, counting, and packaging finished goods for shipping according to printed instructions on work order cover page Record production and scrap information on P-Chart

Skills:

  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch (or other measuring instruments)
  • Ability to operate an injection molding machine (1st or 2nd generation preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (2 people on occasion)
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, etc.)to meet key performance indicators
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures at all times with occasional exposure to heat and cold.
