Scale Operator/ Material Handler
Do you enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where you can stay active throughout the day? Masis Staffing may have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a Scale Operator / Material Handler to join a busy recycling facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both customers and warehouse equipment.

Shift Available: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist with unloading recyclable materials.
• Weigh incoming materials using the scale system and determine value through a computer-based purchasing program.
• Process transactions through the POS system for material purchases.
• Sort and prepare scrap materials for shipment.
• Operate tools, machinery, and forklifts to move and process materials.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area while handling materials.
• Learn and identify different types of recyclable materials quickly and accurately.

Requirements:

• No industry experience required; willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to learn machinery, tools, and computer programs used in daily operations.
• Strong attention to detail and good verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working on your feet and performing physical tasks throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation required.

Compensation: $23.00 per hour
