Our client, an established employee-owned plastic injection molding manufacturer, is hiring an experienced Senior Quality Technician for its Oxford, CT facility.
This is a hands-on metrology and quality role for someone with strong CMM programming, blueprint reading, GD&T, and dimensional inspection experience.
Develop CMM programs for part validation and production inspection.
Perform First Article Inspections and document results.
Complete MSA, Gage R&R, and capability studies.
Develop inspection plans and support quality fixture development.
Inspect parts using CMMs and precision hand-measuring equipment.
Provide inspection data and technical feedback to Engineering and Quality.
Support calibration of automated inspection equipment.
Help train and guide junior Quality Technicians on inspection equipment and procedures.
3-7 years of CMM programming experience.
Experience with PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar CMM software.
Strong blueprint reading and advanced GD&T knowledge.
Experience with Gage R&R, MSA, SPC/SQC, and capability studies.
Mechanical inspection experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and similar tools.
Basic understanding of plastic injection molding.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM and quality software.
MicroVu Vision System programming.
Plastic part cosmetic inspection.
Experience supporting or coaching junior Quality Technicians.
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements.
