Our client is seeking a dedicated Shipper for the 2nd Shift to ensure the seamless operation of their high-speed packaging line. Responsibilities of the Shipper
Operate the high-speed packaging line to cut master cable lengths to shipping lengths.
Perform rework, preparation, inspection, and packaging of cable products.
Load finished cable products for shipment, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.
Comply with safety rules and ensure the safety of yourself and others at your station.
Verify product conformity with packaging requirements and special customer instructions.
Inspect empty take-up reels for size, strength, and cleanliness to prevent damage to finished products.
Generate product identification tags and maintain accurate records of all pertinent information.
Requirements of the Shipper
Ability to consistently meet quality and productivity requirements.
Strong attention to detail for inspecting products and packaging materials.
Capability to handle physical tasks, including loading trucks and terminating cable ends.
Proficiency in using measuring devices and ensuring their calibration.
Experience in scheduling and completing work assignments to meet shipping deadlines.
Effective communication skills to interact with Quality Control and other team members.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
