Position Overview
This position performs warehousing, shipping, and repackaging support functions under the direction of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. The role supports freezer and warehouse operations while ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with food quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine warehouse duties including cycle counts, location changes, spill reporting, and housekeeping as directed by the Supervisor or Leadperson.
Load and unload trucks and complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify trailers are properly chocked and locked out prior to loading or unloading.
Operate a stand-up forklift to transport pallets and cases between docks, storage areas, production lines, railcars, and trucks.
Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading for accuracy and prevent trailer damage during loading and unloading.
Provide repackaging support by following proper pick list and verification procedures.
Inspect and maintain forklift batteries according to established procedures.
Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
Follow all safety procedures, including use of required PPE and reflective vests when loading/unloading.
Adhere to GMPs, plant hygiene standards, food safety, quality, and security policies.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Report mechanical or safety issues to the Supervisor or Leadperson immediately.
