Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate (Forklift Operator)
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time)
Pay: $25–$28 per hour (DOE)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our stainless-steel fabrication shop. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing materials, operating a sit-down forklift, and ensuring accurate inventory management in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload stainless steel materials using a forklift
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Prepare and package outgoing orders for shipment
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse areas
• Perform routine equipment checks and follow safety procedures
• Coordinate with production and purchasing teams to ensure timely material flow
• Keep work area clean and organized
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse operations
• Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with metal or stainless-steel materials
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
