Responsibilities of the SMT Machine Operator
Set up, operate, and monitor SMT machines, including pick-and-place, stencil printers, and reflow ovens.
Load components and feeders into SMT equipment according to job setup sheets and BOM.
Perform first article inspections and verify component placement and orientation.
Conduct in-process visual inspections and make necessary adjustments to correct defects.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot machine errors and production issues with minimal supervision.
Maintain production logs, machine setup records, and quality checklists.
Requirements of the SMT Machine Operator
Must be a US citizen due to ITAR regulations.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous electronic experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and component datasheets.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods.
