Test Technician II 
Westborough, MA

Are you passionate about electronics and eager to make a tangible impact in the manufacturing industry? Our client is seeking a skilled Test Technician II to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to tackle challenges head-on.

Responsibilities of the Test Technician II 

  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling procedures.

  • Utilize Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on component moisture sensitive levels (MSL).

  • Identify and submit faulted components or manufacturing defects on production printed circuit boards for re-work.

  • Read, interpret, and react to schematics for troubleshooting processes.

  • Conduct functional and boundary scan tests on production printed circuit boards.

  • Run software backups, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on tester control computers.

  • Support production test operator training and certification programs.

  • Participate in test process and test station improvements, efficiencies, and safety.

  • Create detailed test reports and interface with cross-functional departments.

Requirements of the Test Technician II 

  • AA/AS Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of related experience or vocational/technical certificate without related experience.

  • Experience operating test equipment such as HP 3070 and Genrad, including network and spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits down to the component level.

  • Prefer experience with amplifiers and attenuators.

  • Highly computer literate with good deductive reasoning skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple procedures/products with highly repetitive or routine duties.
