UPHOLSTERY & FABRICATION
We are a growing Rhode Island manufacturer, designing and manufacturing complex stitched protective gear for military, healthcare and consumer industries. We are looking for an individual with experience in basic upholstery and fabrication. Qualified workers would be able to glue and upholster basic boat seat benches and backs and other flat cushions with consistent quality and timeliness. Individuals must also be able to learn unique fabrication techniques utilizing different cutting apparatus and molding equipment. Training in these areas will be provided; candidates need to exhibit an ability to take on new tasks and maintain quality.
Preferred Fabrication and Upholsterer skills

• Experience in furniture or automobile upholstery or related
• Some knowledge of various upholstery tools and techniques
• Experience with Spray Adhesive Systems preferred
• Comfortable with working with tools such as band saws, circular saws and reciprocal knives

Required Fabrication and Upholsterer soft skills

• Physical dexterity and stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy rolls of fabric
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management skills to meet production deadlines
• Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and problem-solve
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with changing production schedules and priorities
• Teamwork and collaboration skills to contribute to a positive work environment

Pay Scale: $16 – $18 hour
