Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse activities within a food manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient material flow, accurate inventory management, timely shipping and receiving, and adherence to food safety and regulatory standards. This position will lead the warehouse team while partnering with other departments to support production and customer requirements.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities

  • Direct daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order staging, shipping, product transfers, and material movement.
  • Oversee the proper handling, storage, rotation, and traceability of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, finished goods, and other production supplies.
  • Lead, train, schedule, coach, and hold warehouse personnel accountable while monitoring productivity, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and safety.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Transportation, and Customer Service to maintain efficient workflows and support production and customer delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and audit-ready facility while implementing continuous improvement initiatives, reducing waste and costs, and ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation, allergen control, and food safety requirements.

Warehouse Manager Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, food distribution, refrigerated/frozen operations, bakery, beverage, meat, dairy, or another regulated production environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, allergen control, lot tracking, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and audit preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, shipping and receiving, warehouse workflows, and warehouse management or ERP systems while effectively communicating across departments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
