Masis Staffing is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for a contract role in Cordova, TN.

$20/HR
11am-7:30pm

Main Purpose of the Role

The Warehouse Specialist will coordinate, plan, and execute warehouse operations as per company procedures to ensure accurate and timely activities. Interact with transportation representatives to resolve any shipping delays that may occur.  Interface and coordination with field service, customer service, and other internal personnel involved with customer and production orders. 

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Transportation management – Coordinating with transportation providers for pick-up and delivery of customer orders, ensuring most economical mode of transportation necessary to fulfill customer requirements. Interact with Transportation couriers to resolve any shipment delays that may arise.
  • Inventory Control – perform daily cycle counting to ensure 99% inventory accuracy is attainable. Ensure monthly metrics are measured and posted. Coordinate the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed. Maintaining neat and orderly condition of work area. 
  • Order processing – Processing released orders for shipment or production including pulling material from available stock and all appropriate packaging and labeling.  Ensuring that due dates are achieved for all released orders. 
  • Receiving – Processing of all inbound shipments of material including returns.  Includes data recording, material stocking and documentation processing. Utilizes the ERP system to properly account for issues, receipts of new material and associated backorders: inputs essential data on all materials handled. 
  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.  
  • Routinely check work area for safety, cleanliness, and 5S activities.
  • Cross train and work all functions of warehouse to ensure knowledge and skills related to warehouse processes stay current.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required, and three years related experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager Software, UPS Software, and others for processing domestic and international shipments.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP is a required.  Solid Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. Basic knowledge of import and export requirements.  Knowledge of freight rate structures for various modes of transportation.  
  • Material Handling Experience such as knowledge of lifts, hand trucks, carts and portable stationary ladders.
