Masis Staffing is hiring a Weaver for a Handwoven carpet company in Sanford, ME.
Entry-Level position – No experience needed!!! Paid on-the-job training! Temp-to-hire!! Weekly pay!
As a weaver you will operate the loom machine efficiently and effectively while ensuring a good quality product. Maintain and fix the loom as needed.
2nd Shift – Monday – Friday – 3 pm – 11 pm – $19.50/hour
What You’ll Do:
Visually inspects production runs for which colors are running primary and accent and assures appropriate bobbin colors are on creel.
Visually inspects inventory of yarns, jute, and cotton to ensure appropriate stock levels.
Communicates with the creel coordinator and material handler regarding raw goods needs.
Replace low bobbins as needed.
Uses special spindles for crushed or bad bobbins. Separate bobbins to be rewound.
Threads yarn along the proper path to loom.
Visually inspects for crossed yarn on the path to loom.
Loads proper weights on yarn.
Repairs raw goods failures (I.e. jute, cotton, etc.)
Load the jute tables when necessary.
Sweeps and cleans creel and loom area.
Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
Ability to use the computer module to run loom.
Ability to get along with teammates.
Can stand for prolonged periods of time up to 8 hours.
Can fit in tight spaces while bending and reaching above head.
