Are you a skilled welder looking to showcase your expertise in a dynamic environment? Our client is seeking a dedicated welder to join their team, where precision and safety are paramount. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential for long-term growth.
Responsibilities of the Welder
Perform hand-welding operations in all positions for mechanical strength and high pressure on a variety of assemblies and products.
Use fixtures, blocking, clamping, or holding to align parts to exacting tolerances.
Secure welds of maximum strength with minimal distortion.
Set up the work area and perform welding operations in the appropriate sequence, ensuring proper positioning of materials.
Finish grind welds as necessary and check the quality of materials and finished welds.
Follow all safety procedures and report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Provide training and familiarization to other employees as required.
Requirements of the Welder
Must have personal protective equipment, including helmets and steel-toed boots.
Ability to work first or second shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM).
Must pass a welding test during the interview process.
Ability to receive work assignments and ensure necessary supplies and tools are available.
Experience in maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
Must swipe a time card for proper recording of time worked and production time measurement.
Strong commitment to safety and health rules as established by the company.
Compensation/Benefits for the Welder
Helmets and steel-toed shoes are required and must be provided by the candidate unless hired as a full-time employee.
