Welder Assistant

Location: E Bell Rd & N 94th St – Scottsdale, AZ

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Welder Assistant to support the fabrication and assembly of custom artistic sculptures. This hands-on role involves working closely with experienced welders and artists, assisting in the preparation, welding, and finishing of unique metalwork. Ideal for someone passionate about metal art and eager to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, creative environment.

Responsibilities of the Welder Assistant:

Prepare metal components by cutting, grinding, and cleaning materials
Support welders in assembling sculpture parts and structures with precision and alignment
Assist with mixing and applying welding materials
Perform basic welding tasks such as tack welding and joint preparation
Sand, grind, and polish metal surfaces to achieve high-quality finishes
Help with loading, unloading, and transporting sculptures during various production stages
Perform general shop duties and assist with additional tasks as needed

Requirements of the Welder Assistant:

Basic knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking tool
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
**Must have 2 years MIG welding experience**

Compensation of the Welder Assistant:

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
