Our client is seeking a dedicated Housing Counselor to join their team and play a crucial role in processing Home Base applications efficiently. This position involves direct interaction with various agencies and representatives to ensure smooth application processes and timely updates.
Responsibilities of the Home Based Specialist
Process Home Base applications in collaboration with EA Shelter Case Managers to ensure all necessary documentation is provided for payment processing and stipend entries.
Manage benefits for future reallocation of funds and provide direct case management for assigned applications.
Oversee data management for the program and complete required reporting for RCAP Solutions and EOHLC.
Adhere to processes and deadlines set by RCAP Solutions and funders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop partnerships with internal and external providers to deliver comprehensive services seamlessly.
Maintain EOHLC goals and expectations regarding payment processing accuracy and timelines.
Refer clients to the Home Base Case Manager for additional information on housing programs and services as needed.

Requirements of the Home Based Specialist
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services case management or direct knowledge of housing stabilization programs.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff, communities, leadership, and stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet all deadlines.
Team player approach, with the ability to attend and participate in meetings actively.
