Masis Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder for a client in Springfield, MA.
This is a temp to hire opportunity.
4 days a week, 32 hours. $24-$28/HR
Responsibilities:
Review patient medical records, including physician notes, lab results, and procedures
Assign accurate codes using systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
Ensure coding complies with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements
Verify and correct coding errors to prevent claim denials
Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
Stay updated with changes in coding standards and healthcare laws
Assist in billing processes and insurance claim submissions
Skills:
Knowledge in Oracle/Powerchart
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Familiarity with coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work with electronic health records (EHR) systems
