Our client in East Longmeadow is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. This is a direct hire position and we are looking for someone with 2 years experience.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be part of a team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:

Support continuous and efficient process operations.
Play an active roll in technical projects relating to new product and process introductions.
Utilize a solid technical expertise to expand internal process knowledge.
Administer technical training and support as required.
Analyze and resolve process problems utilizing SPC techniques, and strong analytical skills.
Initiate and implement cost reduction programs related to process methods and technology.
Work closely with the operations team to propagate the principals of Flow and Lean Manufacturing.
Assist in the R&D process to insure produce and manufacturability issues
Monitor and improve safety in manufacturing operations by addressing ergonomic and other safety concerns.

You need to have:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience, preferably in hardware or consumer goods manufacturing.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, quality, or mechanical engineering position.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills, with an emphasis on a hands on approach.
• Some general knowledge in the areas of metallurgy, dimensional controls, and inspection methods.
• Excellent project management skills.
