We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented civil engineer to join our client's team as a Project Manager.
Job Duties:
Leads design team in preparation and permitting of construction documents for assigned projects. Performs routine engineering work while applying professional proficiency. On assigned projects, coordinates design with client, regulatory agencies, local municipalities, contractors and other project consultants. Performs investigations and research and applies engineering processes to support planning efforts and drive design decisions. Maintains proactive approach to project management to meet deliverable and schedule deadlines. Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.

Applies standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations which may include the following:
Assists in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings. Supervises the production of these drawings. Carries out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications and permit application packages.
Conducts engineering investigations and research to support project planning and production efforts. Collects and analyzes data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
Prepares technical reports and presentations.
Provide construction administration support including the review of shop drawings, attendance at meetings, and resolving conflicts in the field.
Performs data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
Performs engineering calculations and analyzes design solutions.
Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of civil engineering or related experience.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and capable of developing technical documents.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software required (Word, Excel, etc). AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge preferred.
Experience with civil engineering design software desired (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, ICPR, PONDS, HydroCAD, etc.)
Florida Professional Engineering license is required.
Prior project management experience is preferred, but not required.
Education:
B.S. in Civil Engineering required. Minimum of 5 years of qualifying experience in the field of land development engineering is required of incumbents along with a Bachelor's Degree directly related to civil engineering.
