Masis Professional Group is seeking a Bearings Manufacturing Engineering Manager for our client in the Worcester, MA area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
The Bearings Manufacturing Engineering Manager will run the engineering department, manage a team of six engineers, and report to the Chief Engineer. The manager will provide technical leadership to the engineering team while working closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Tool Room, and Customer Service to ensure the successful development and production of high-quality bearing products.
The engineering team is responsible for developing SOPs, setting up machine programs, supporting customer product development and prototyping, and completing quoting and costing. This manager will also work closely with manufacturing to improve tooling and production processes, control costs, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency
This role requires extensive knowledge of bearing design, metal stamping, machining, assembly processes, tooling design, and manufacturing engineering principles. There will be a collaborative team approach when designing formed or stamped bearing components with other engineers and toolmakers, particularly when new tooling is required.
