Masis Staffing Solutions is seeking a Buyer II to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for purchasing materials and services to support production schedules, while maintaining supplier delivery performance and quality. Key Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms for assigned commodities
Review and process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders
Analyze vendor options and select appropriate suppliers
Investigate material variance issues and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams (Quality/Engineering)
Partner with Planning to align supplier deliveries with system requirement dates and communicate changes
Support cost reduction efforts, change orders, and purchasing activity reporting
Coordinate vendor visits and cross-functional supplier meetings
Support supplier development initiatives (including small/disadvantaged supplier programs as applicable)
Qualifications
3–6 years of purchasing/materials buying experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of MRP (CPAM experience is a plus)
Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills
Familiarity with purchasing systems and procedures
Ability to read/interpret blueprints is a plus
College degree preferred (Supply Chain or related), or equivalent experience
