Masis Professional Group is recruiting for a Civil Reinforcing Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

The Civil Reinforcing Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering, design, and technical services related to reinforcing steel products used in civil and structural construction projects. This role partners closely with internal teams, contractors, fabricators, and customers to ensure accurate detailing, compliance with project specifications, and high-quality project execution.

Basic qualifications and/or traits that the Civil Reinforcing Engineer must possess include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in civil, structural, or construction-related engineering preferred.
  • Working knowledge of reinforced concrete design principles and construction practices.
  • Experience interpreting structural drawings and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards (ACI, ASTM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other structural detailing/design software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities of the Civil Reinforcing Engineer:

  • Provide technical support related to reinforcing steel design, detailing, and application.
  • Review structural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and internal teams to resolve technical questions.
  • Assist with preparation and review of shop drawings and reinforcing steel placement drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Support value engineering efforts and recommend cost-effective reinforcing solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure project feasibility and successful delivery.
  • Assist in troubleshooting field issues and providing engineering guidance as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special engineering projects.
