Electrical / Controls Process Engineer
Full Time | Engineering
Salary: $110,000 per year + Bonus Eligible
Travel: Up to 75 percent
We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Controls Process Engineer to join a corporate engineering team supporting multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities. This role leads electrical engineering and industrial controls initiatives in a heavy, discrete manufacturing environment.
This position requires up to 75 percent travel, including frequent air travel, to manufacturing plants across several states. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Design, install, and maintain industrial electrical systems and process control equipment.
Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
Diagnose issues involving PLCs, AC and DC drives, motors, and production machinery.
Create and maintain electrical schematics and AutoCAD drawings.
Perform arc flash studies and ensure electrical safety compliance.
Support plant Maintenance teams with technical troubleshooting and system improvements.
Oversee controls projects to meet performance and budget goals.
Recommend and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of PLC control logic, AC and DC drives, and industrial electrical systems.
Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience in a manufacturing Electrical Engineering or Process Controls role.
Preferred:
Experience troubleshooting foreign production machinery, especially Italian or German equipment.
Experience with CMMS, which is Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Base salary of $110,000 per year.
