Job Title: Jr. Project Assistant
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $22 – $24 per hour
Are you ready to put your administrative and coordination skills to work in a dynamic and growing organization? We are seeking a Project Assistant to support our Engineering and Consulting teams. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating between multiple departments, and interacting with clients and vendors to help keep projects moving efficiently.
Provide administrative and scheduling support to consultants and engineers.
Conduct research to identify appropriate jurisdictional authorities, water purveyors, and other project stakeholders.
Coordinate with consultants and external partners to schedule appointments, site visits, and project milestones.
Set up and manage meetings with public authorities, vendors, and water purveyors as needed.
Assist with permit coordination and submission of required project documents.
Prepare, compile, and distribute project documentation and client notifications in accordance with specific client and jurisdictional guidelines.
Support communication between internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely progress and project accuracy.
Track deadlines and help maintain project documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
1–3 years of experience in an administrative, project coordination, or construction support role.
Experience working with vendors, contractors, or construction teams is highly desired.
Strong customer service and communication skills — comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and public officials.
Experience in fire consulting, fire protection, or permitting is a plus but not required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or coursework in construction management, business, or engineering preferred.
Gain hands-on experience supporting real-world engineering and consulting projects.
