Our client is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their team and manage the wastewater treatment processes with precision and care. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator
Treat compatible wastewater from the plating department for discharge following established procedures.
Maintain all records as required by wastewater discharge permits, DEP, and EPA.
Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule and execute minor repairs as necessary.
Maintain chemical and supply inventory to ensure seamless operations.
Oversee the DI water system and perform regular regeneration.
Control precious metal reclaim systems to optimize resource recovery.
Manage hazardous waste handling and collaborate with the plating manager to coordinate hazardous waste shipments.
Requirements of the Machine Operator
Hold a grade 4I or higher wastewater treatment license in the state of MA.
Possess prior experience in an industrial waste treatment facility.
Demonstrated experience with clarifiers, filter press, cyanide destruction, chemical feed pumps, and chemical transfer.
Completion of annual DOT HAZMAT and RCRA HAZWASTE training.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
