Masis Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder for a client in Springfield, MA.

This is a temp to hire opportunity.

4 days a week, 32 hours. $24-$28/HR

Responsibilities:

 

  • Review patient medical records, including physician notes, lab results, and procedures
  • Assign accurate codes using systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
  • Ensure coding complies with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements
  • Verify and correct coding errors to prevent claim denials
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Stay updated with changes in coding standards and healthcare laws
  • Assist in billing processes and insurance claim submissions

Skills:

  • Knowledge in Oracle/Powerchart
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Familiarity with coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with electronic health records (EHR) systems
