This role involves molding heated plastic to create custom prosthetic and orthotic components. Full training is provided, and you’ll gain a skill that’s in demand across the country.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mold heated plastic over molds to form custom prosthetic parts like check sockets and orthotic braces (operate a thermoform machine)
• Assembly of prosthetic and orthotic devices
• Use basic hand tools including cordless drills and oscillating saws (used to cut materials — they do not cut skin)
• Operate vacuum forming equipment while following detailed work instructions
• Prepare and handle plaster molds
• Work safely with plastics heated to 360°–375°F while wearing protective gloves and sleeves
• Keep your work area clean and organized with light custodial duties at the end of each shift
• Follow all safety guidelines and production processes
• Learn a highly transferable skill with full on-the-job training provided

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or hands-on tool use required
• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Able to read and understand work instructions in English
• Dependable, teachable, and detail-oriented
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are a must
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Comfortable working in warm environments and wearing safety gear

Shift:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
(½ hour lunch)
Occasional overtime and shift flexibility may be required
