Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster – Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster with strong New Jersey experience to manage a diverse portfolio of general liability claims ranging from routine matters to complex cases. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with the potential to transition into a long-term position. The role is fully remote but candidates must live in the state of NJ.

Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster – Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of multi-line general liability claims from initial investigation through resolution, including coverage analysis, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement.
• Oversee investigations, litigation, budgeting, reserving, reporting, vendor coordination, and claim payments while ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
• Apply sound judgment and industry best practices when analyzing coverage, liability, damages, and overall claim exposure.
• Assist with training, mentoring, workflow coordination, quality oversight, and other supervisory functions as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with claimants, attorneys, vendors, internal teams, and other stakeholders while providing a high level of customer service.

Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster – Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible claims experience, with strong general liability claims experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of applicable claims procedures, statutes, compliance requirements, insurance laws, and coverage principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to effectively manage priorities and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

• Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity
• $34–$36/hour
• Fully Remote
• Location: NJ
• Candidates must be within reasonable commuting distance and have reliable internet and the ability to work remotely when required.
