Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster – Summary

We are seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with strong New Jersey experience to oversee a diverse caseload of workers’ compensation claims, ranging from routine matters to complex cases. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with the potential to transition into a long-term position. The role is fully remote but candidates must live within the state of NJ. 

Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster – Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of New Jersey State and Federal Longshore and Harbor workers’ compensation claims from initial investigation through resolution.
• Conduct coverage and liability analysis, investigate claims, manage medical treatment, establish reserves, oversee litigation, and handle negotiations and settlements.
• Ensure claims are evaluated and processed in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to claims personnel, including assisting with training, mentoring, workflow coordination, and quality oversight.
• Collaborate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster – Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible workers’ compensation claims experience, with strong knowledge of New Jersey claims.
• Thorough understanding of workers’ compensation laws, regulations, compliance requirements, insurance coverage, and claims procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to effectively work in a hybrid environment.
