Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality packaging products through precise machine operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities of the Bobst Folder/Gluer Operator
Operate, set up, and troubleshoot Bobst folder gluer and die-cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
Read and interpret job orders, specifications, and technical drawings to execute precise machine adjustments.
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with prepress and manufacturing teams to ensure materials are prepared correctly for production runs.
Monitor production processes closely, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Maintain accurate documentation of job setups, machine parameters, and quality checks throughout the production cycle.
Ensure safety protocols are followed consistently in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Assist in training new operators on Bobst equipment operation and safety procedures.
Requirements of the Bobst Folder/Gluer Operator
5+ years of proven experience operating Bobst folder gluer and die-cutting machinery within a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Strong understanding of prepress processes, material handling, and machine setup procedures.
Familiarity with forklift operation for material movement within the facility.
Knowledge of manufacturing principles, including quality control and safety standards.
Experience with flexo presses, machining, or related equipment is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams.
