Industrial Mechanic
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Additional Schedule Requirements: Some Saturdays and overtime may be required based on production and business needs.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment within a manufacturing environment.
The Industrial Mechanic will be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment adjustments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on mechanical skills with experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field
  • Experience working with industrial or production equipment strongly preferred
  • Military technical or mechanical maintenance experience may be considered
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment preferred

Required Technical Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and power transmission components
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, manuals, and diagrams
  • Diagnostic tools and test equipment, including voltmeters, multimeters, and pressure gauges
  • Hand and power tools
  • Equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

Preferred:

  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Automated manufacturing systems
  • Conveyors and material handling equipment
  • Sensors and automated controls

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing methods
  • Repair or replace defective equipment components, including motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and cylinders
  • Install, adjust, align, and calibrate machinery and production equipment
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, including equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and drawings
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Partner with production teams to prioritize repairs and minimize operational downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts usage
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance, safety, reliability, and efficiency

Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and facility safety policies and procedures
  • Follow established lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing machinery and equipment
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance equipment
  • Identify and report unsafe equipment conditions or workplace hazards
  • Perform maintenance work in accordance with applicable safety regulations and plant standards

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, and pull as required
  • Ability to work around moving machinery and industrial equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights when necessary
  • Ability to safely work in an active manufacturing and industrial environment
  • Ability to wear required PPE
